Telepsychiatry Services What Is TelePsychiatry? TelePsychiatry is the practice of psychiatry and or psychology at a distance, using a camera, specialized software and a high-speed internet connection. •TelePsychiatry enables real-time face-to-face psychiatric and psychological care for geographically distant patients. •TelePsychiatry relieves growing pressures on facilities and patients located in professional shortage areas to get access to consultation from psychiatrist with diffrent subspeciailty training •Physician services provided through TelePsychiatry include: -Medication Management and/or Psychotherapy -Assessment, diagnosis, treatment and/or evaluation of patients or residents of a nursing home facility. -Services are provided as determined by individualized treatment plan in compliance with the rules and regulations promulgated by CMS and other third party payers and according to professional standards. HIPAA •All of the equipment, software and systems used for telepsychiatry are designed to comply with HIPAA regulations.
