OUR ECT TEAM Practice Manager : Kim Anderson -703-953-1557 ( Call to arrange an ECT consult ) ECT Psychiatrist : Dr Rhea Mehra, M.D ECT Nursing Team at INOVA Mt Vernon are extremely compassionate ,caring and competent and have excellent skills in dealing with psychiatric patients and pre and post op management. They have received their ECT training at DUKE Medical Center under direct supervision and training of well renowned and highly respected Dr Richard Weiner. We are extremely lucky to have an excellent team of Anesthesiologist who are proficient in handling patients undergoing ECT procedure as an outpatient and inpatient and get to know our patients well. Unlike a lot of other facilities our patients get to meet the same team of anesthiologists that work with them and have the comfort of knowing that they are in the hands of doctors who get to know them well. Last but not the least our ECT treatment team meets regularly to discuss patient progress , provide education to the family and patient and collaborate with the patients outpatient treating psychiatrist for optimal and appropriate care. |
